Overview

At the Indiana University - Purdue University Indianapolis we offer a bachelor degree in Medical Imaging Technology. Medical imaging technologists use principles of radiation protection as they determine exposure factors and position patients for a variety of examinations. Many of the patient examinations are highly specific, using computers or computerized equipment. 

Medical imaging technologists are also capable of assessing the technical quality of the image, and providing basic patient care. The technologist must function as a member of the health care team.
