Overview

Students will understand the political, cultural and historical issues of the Latin American culture.

Students interested in international studies and politics have the option of participating in competitions including Model United Nations, Model Organization of American States and Undergraduate Moot Court. These competitions give students an opportunity to witness and practice what they learn in the classroom.

The Latin American Studies program at Baylor University promotes and encourages academic works in Latin America. It also encourages travel and exchange with institutions of higher learning in Latin America and Spain. Baylor currently offers summer programs in Spain, Mexico, Argentina, Belize and Guatemala. Full year academic exchanges are available in Mexico, Spain and Argentina.

  • Official transcripts can be mailed from your high school in a sealed and signed envelope or sent digitally through a secure electronic source (Slate.org, Parchment, CommonApp, or TRex). 
  • Applicants from schools with external exams or leaving certificates should have their exams or certificates submitted to Baylor directly from the testing agency (IGCSE, GCE, WAEC, CBSE, IB, etc.).
  • Students applying from secondary schools outside of the U.S. are not required to submit standardized test scores for admission to Baylor;
