Students graduating with a BSCS in Computer Science are schooled in upper-level computer science topics with a solid foundation in mathematics and the sciences. Within the BSCS degree, students select a general computer science, gaming or software engineering track.

One of the strengths of the Computer Science program at Baylor University is the balance between theory and practice. Students are well versed in theory and programming while at the same time being exposed to real world situations thereby gaining valuable experience.
The gaming specialization is designed to provide an understanding of the development and application of interactive digital media technologies while the software engineering track emphasizes the methods used to produce and maintain high-quality software in a systematic, controlled and efficient manner.
