UB's Philosophy Department offers a major and a minor in philosophy. A major in philosophy enables students to gain a fuller understanding of the range of subjects included in philosophy.

It also permits students to concentrate on subjects and problems which they find most interesting. The undergraduate major in Philosophy, offered by the University at Buffalo, is a good preparation for graduate study in philosophy.
