Sustainability at Creighton University, you’ll study a variety of perspectives and gain knowledge, skills and the ability to problem-solve to recommend and implement sustainable solutions. Students in the program also gain valuable hands-on experience through a sustainability internship.

The Bachelor of Arts in sustainability is designed to prepare students for the jobs of tomorrow and shape our earth’s future.

As a sustainability major, you’ll gain:

Multidisciplinary knowledge of social, political, cultural, scientific, and economic principles, systems and structures influencing sustainability
An understand of humanity as interdependent with the natural systems, spiritual systems and ecological vision
Competence in defining and deconstructing problems through critical thinking
Communication and collaboration skills to organize social action and design solutions
Experience with a sustainable program on campus or in the larger Omaha community
A sense of the job market possibilities as you develop career skills

As part of the Jesuit, Catholic educational experience, you’ll have the opportunity to reflect on your experience and how you’ll commit to caring for the earth, both now and in your career. Graduates will enter the workforce able to advise on sustainable business practices, development, and environmentally and socially conscious public policy.
