Since the founding of the predecessor of the University of Pannonia in 1949, the world changed significantly, but the prestigious institution, defying challenges, has remained a determinative factor of the socio-economic life of the region, as well as an internationally recognised higher education institution. It is the most significant institution of higher education in the Transdanubian region.

The University of Pannonia is characterized by outstanding academic excellence and high-quality usable knowledge. With its long professional tradition our multidisciplinary university offers education in the fields of humanities, economics, engineering, information technology, education, social and natural science. Our university guarantees international quality education and research opportunities with professionally recognized academics. The classes are usually held in small-size groups, which makes the educational process personalized. The institution offers courses uniting the results of problem-oriented, multi-disciplinary methods adapted to the current needs of society.

University Ranking
Student services
The University of Pannonia’s Student Union is responsible for representing the interests of current and future students in all kind of matters at the university, or even in regional and national levels. The members of the student union participate in faculty-level decision-making forums, organize events and assist students in all matters concerning higher education. BEST (Board of European Students of Technology). The organization covers the entire European continent and is present at 95 universities in 33 countries.
Housing services
The halls of residence are available for students in each university city. Even though the dormitory facilities may slightly vary, all dormitories are comfortable and well-equipped. Students live in furnished 1- 2- or 3-person housing units with beds, wardrobes, desks and bookshelves for each student. Depending on the dormitory style, bathrooms can be private, shared between rooms or located in the corridor and separated by gender. Kitchens are located on each floor, while rooms are equipped with a fridge, microwave oven, a dining table, and a kitchenette for washing the dishes. Besides providing quality accommodation, the university gives assistance to students to find accommodation in the city.
Library services
The university library is as old as the university itself. It was created to serve the needs of learning, education and research literature. As a public library, it became a center of self-education and entertainment not only for the university students, but for every visitor wishing to use the library services. Campus life
The University of Pannonia possesses 5 campuses in Hungary out of which three offer programmes in English (Veszprém, Nagykanizsa and K?szeg). The buildings of the university are separated according to the faculties; However, they are located close to each other and to the city center. All the necessary everyday services are located within the walking distance from the university buildings and dormitories. Near to each campus, there are supermarkets, doctor's office, post office, and other services fulfilling basic needs of a student, so that the use of public transport is not needed.
Sports facilities
Students can choose from nearly 50 types of training, in addition to the theoretical courses offered by the Institute of Physical Education and Sport. The Institute places great emphasis on ensuring that everyone can find the right form of exercise for their level of fitness. Two semesters of physical education are compulsory for the higher education vocational training students, 4 semesters at the bachelor's level and theoretical courses are recommended at the master's level. The university has rowing, volleyball, basketball and futsal teams, which students can join and participate in the HUCNC (Hungarian University and College National Championships).
Student clubs
Pannon Community HUB can be found at Veszprém Campus. This is a European Capital of Culture Point, a community space and an event venue open to young people, a place for people to meet, talk and socalize or hold regular cultural and leisure activities. Among others, there are board game nights, Generation Bridge workshops, international evenings, start-up programmes and the "They live among us" event series organised in the Pannon Community HUB. The prior horizontal goals of Veszprém-Balaton 2023 European Capital of Culture programme are sustainability, accessibility, visitor-friendly programmes and volunteering.
The Faculty of Engineering's chemical engineering courses have been accredited by the British Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) - being the first and the only one so far of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe - hence the chemical engineering degrees (Bsc and MSc) obtained here are accepted in the Commonwealth countries and the United States.
The Faculty of Business and Economics has become a member of the AACSB International in January 2014. The accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business is the hallmark of excellence in business education.
