Communication and Media Studies BA
The Communication and Media Studies BA programme at the University of Pannonia prepares students to become confident and knowledgeable communication professionals. The curriculum combines a strong theoretical foundation with practice-oriented communication training. Core courses include Philosophy, Political Science, Public Administration Studies, Personal and Social Communication, Psychology, and Creative Writing, providing essential social science and communication skills.
The programme structure consists of Foundation Subjects of Communication and Social Sciences (48 credits) and Communication Theory and Practice (60 credits), ensuring a solid academic and professional base. Students then choose a specialization (42 credits) in either Digital Editing or Cultural and Creative Industries, allowing focused professional development. The curriculum is complemented by elective subjects (10 credits), professional practice (10 credits), and a final dissertation (10 credits), supporting both practical experience and independent academic work.

Entry requirements:
High school or secondary education (or higher) with a high school leaving exam.
English language proficiency: minimum B2 level. Acceptable proofs include:
IELTS certificate with a score of at least 5.5
TOEFL iBT certificate with a minimum score of 60
English language proficiency certificate (oral and written, intermediate level) from a centre accredited by the Language Examination Accreditation Centre (www.nyak.hu)
Alternatively, students who completed previous studies in English may submit the original school-issued certificate instead of a language exam.
