Overview

The programme offers a BSc degree in Environmental Engineering for students who wish to acquire solid professional knowledge and practical skills in natural sciences, ecology, engineering, economics, and management.

Students are trained to identify, prevent, and manage environmental problems, as well as to eliminate or mitigate environmental damage. They become familiar with the principles of sustainable resource use, the development and operation of cleaner technologies, and the treatment and neutralisation of hazardous waste. The programme also covers nature and landscape protection, as well as environmental policy and regulation.

To support effective professional cooperation, students are required to study at least one foreign language and develop strong communication skills.

Graduates are therefore able to plan, organise, and supervise environmental projects and to participate actively and creatively in multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Protection of environmental elements: 63 credits
Environmental analysis and environmental informatics: 20 credits
Environmental management: 12 credits

Thesis — 15 credits

Elective Courses — 10 credits

Total: 210 credits

The completion of compulsory professional practice outside the university is a requirement for obtaining the Environmental Engineering degree. The professional practice lasts six weeks and must be completed after the 4th and 6th semesters.
