UoL School of Law at University of London

 Established as a secular alternative to Oxford and Cambriddge, the only two other English universities at the time, we became the first to explicitly exclude religious qualification as an entry requirement. We were the first University to give external students the opportunity to continue to earn a living while studying, and to study privately and take exams without coming to London. 

You can study for one of our degrees wherever you are in the world, independently or with the support of one of our global Recognised Teaching Centres.  

Distance learning allows you to study wherever you are, arranging your studies around your work or family life. You learn using study materials and online learning resources that are designed for active learning. You can also connect with other students on your course around the world via your virtual learning environment. 

Most of our programmes are designed to be studied independently. However, if you prefer structured study support, you can attend classes for many of our programmes at a Recognised Teaching Centre locally. 

UoL School of Laws offers global work-based learning opportunities within prestigious organisations and expert careers support to our students around the world. 

In 2019, the efforts in enhancing the employability of our students earned us a National Undergraduate Employability Award nomination, where the University of London was one of the five finalists in the ‘Most Improved Commitment to Employability’ category. 

The School has developed unique relationships with renowned employers to provide our students with invaluable opportunities to participate in work-based learning through our Business Placement scheme and Bombay Stock Exchange bootcamp.
