While the roots of Nipissing University extend back to the 1900s with the North Bay Normal School, Nipissing University College was formed in 1967 as an affiliate of Laurentian University.

Housing services
- Student Accessibility Services (SAS) supports students with permanent and temporary disabilities and strives to provide an accessible, barrier-free learning environment.
- Academic accommodation is a process by which you are provided conditions, services, and/or tools, which help to compensate for the effects of your disability in your studying, classroom learning, testing and other evaluation. These accommodations are based on your functional limitations; they are unique to you and specific to your disability-related needs. Appropriate accommodation is fair and is meant to “level the playing field” and not give you an advantage over your peers.
Library services
The Library is interested in supporting institutional research. Please contact the appropriate liaison librarian or library administrator to discuss your research requirements. They are most willing to work with you and seek your input into collection development.
ICT services
Technology Services (UTS) is dedicated to assisting all members of the Nipissing University community make effective use of a wide range of information technologies. Highly skilled and customer service oriented staff ensure University members are able to optimize their academic and professional endeavors through the use of technology.

The Campus Health Centre provides quality services and health care delivery by a licensed physician and nurses. Some of the services included, but are not limited to:

The Nipissing University Student Union (NUSU) is the official body representing the student point of view at Nipissing. All students, both full-time and part-time, belong to the Student Union and fund the organization through their ancillary fees, payable at registration

The program is incredibly interactive and hands on heavy. The second year of the program is taken in college which gives you a college degree in year 2 as well as a university degree in year 4 allowing you to find better jobs to pay for your further years of university. The class sizes in this program are very small so you get lots of attention from profs and can make good...
