Services

Student services

The Office of International Activities is a home away from home for all international students. All international students should feel welcome here and can seek assistance with all types of concerns.

Housing services

We offer over 200 social and recreational events and activities in residence each year, so there is always something to do and new people to meet.  You can choose to live on our regular activity floors, our quiet floors, or our academic floors in Darrach Hall (men only), Flora Cowan Hall (women only), or McMaster Hall (all gender).

Library services

The library provides tours of the library and bibliographic instruction sessions. These can be arranged throughout the year, and sessions can be devoted to effective search strategies for the online catalog, any number of databases, or the World Wide Web. The evaluation of sources for academic merit is also discussed.

ICT services

The role of Information Technology (IT) Services is to provide the necessary service, support, planning and management of Information Technology at Brandon University.

IT Services promotes and enhances student learning by increasing access to, and proficiency in the effective use of information technology.

Medical services

Community health and wellness is directly linked with the availability of health services and the capacity to access those services. Accessing health services in northern Manitoba and Saskatchewan can be fraught with difficulty, often owing to large distances, with sparse populations distributed over vast geography.

Student Life

Campus life

There’s much more to residence than convenience and economy: it’s an incredible opportunity to meet hundreds of new people, participate in a myriad of new activities, and develop valuable new skills: all while enjoying campus life in a way not available to non-residents.

Sports facilities

Several of Western Manitoba’s top athletes are training at the Healthy Living Centre (HLC), thanks to a partnership between Sport Manitoba and Brandon University (BU).

Student clubs

BUSU (Brandon University Students' Union) strives to enhance student life and the quality of education through consultation, representation, and advocacy

Accreditation

The University is a co-educational, non-denominational, government-supported institution within the Province of Manitoba. It is a member of Universities Canada.

The university got small class rooms so it's easier to focus and interact with the instructors, what's bad is that not enough programs are available throughout the year.
