Overview
This professional Nursing program from Brandon University will prepare graduates to work in a variety of settings with individuals, families and communities to promote, maintain and strengthen health. Opportunities for careers in nursing are numerous and diverse. Professional nurses’ associations in Canada are predicting a dramatic increase in the demand for nurses. Graduates of the BN program will be eligible to write the qualifying examinations for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).

Through a program of study that incorporates active learning and knowledge from the sciences, arts and humanities, the BN program prepares graduates to practice safely as Registered Nurses in a rapidly changing health care environment and as an integral part of the interdisciplinary health care team.

General requirements
- Upon successful completion of the required Pre Nursing courses, students can apply and will be considered for acceptance into the BN program. Students must apply to the Bachelor of Nursing program by May 1st of the year of the desired entry to the program. Satisfactory completion of a Criminal Record Check, an Adult Abuse Registry Check and a Child Abuse Registry Check is required.
- If you have graduated from high school, send an official final transcript showing graduation. Some countries will have a different document required – please visit the High School Requirements page for specific documents/admission requirements by country.
- If you completed the G.E.D. (Grade 12 Equivalency) send the original transcript.
- If applicable, English language proficiency test scores must come in a sealed envelope directly from the testing centre, except TOEFL which may also be sent electronically directly through TOEFL (ETS) if preferred.
