Founded in Brooklyn in 1896, Adelphi was one of the first coeducational institutions of higher education in New York State and is Long Island’s oldest private coeducational university. Today Adelphi serves nearly 7,500 students from 38 states and 46 countries at its beautiful main campus in Garden City, New York.
From its inception, Adelphi University has been responsive to student aspirations, societal needs and the changing career landscape. We have adapted our degree programs and continuing education opportunities to better meet the demands of today’s technology-driven, global, and interconnected economy and society. The ability of our graduates to successfully navigate these connections, emerge as leaders, and make contributions in their communities is the hallmark of an Adelphi education.
Our classrooms are think tanks. They’re engines of innovation. This is the time to engage in exhilarating discussions and lectures that pull you in. This is learning at its highest level — with professors who love what they teach, and students who love how they teach it.
