Overview
Throughout this Psychology (Hons) BSc degree at Queen Mary University of London you’ll carry out research on the cause of mental illnesses such as anxiety and depression, the mental lives of bees and the impact of opt-in organ donation. Perhaps you’ve already seen them on the news commenting on topics such as decision-making behind lockdowns.
Because of our diverse expertise, we’re able to offer an extensive range of optional modules in areas such as criminal and forensic psychology, neuroscience and decision making.
From clinical psychology to counselling, your psychology degree can take you in different directions where you can support communities and make an impact.
Career opportunities:
95 per cent of our graduates are in work or further study within six months of graduation (HESA GOS 2020/21).
Many graduates use their subject knowledge to move into clinical psychology, teaching, counselling or lab work. Others transfer their skills into sectors such as marketing, HR, finance or technology.

General requirements
- Grades AAA at A-Level. This must include at least one A-Level science subject of Biology, Chemistry, Maths, Further Maths, Physics or Psychology.
- International Baccalaureate Diploma with a minimum of 36 points overall, including 6,6,6 from three Higher Level subjects. This must include a science subject at Higher Level. Acceptable science subjects include Biology, Chemistry, Maths, Further Maths, Physics or Psychology
- GCSE - Minimum five GCSE passes including English and Maths at grade C or 4.
- EPQ - Alternative offers may be made to applicants taking the Extended Project Qualification.
