Description
The scholarship is available to students beginning a full-time undergraduate degree. Successful applicants receive subsidised accommodation at Scape Mile End or Scape Shoreditch for up to three years, helping to reduce living costs while studying.
Benefits
Subsidised rent of £152.44 per week for one ensuite or one studio room during the academic year.
Subsidised accommodation for up to three years, with annual rent capped at 55% of the maximum Student Finance England maintenance loan.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the Scape Scholarship you must meet the main criteria:
- Be able to demonstrate with evidence that you are estranged from your family, a care leaver or a care experienced student (Scotland).
In addition you must also:
- Be applying for a full-time undergraduate degree offered by Queen Mary University of London, to be studied in person.
- Be holding a firm choice offer from Queen Mary.
- Have been assessed as eligible for home fees by Queen Mary.
