Description
The bursary is available to Home undergraduate students who have been assessed by Student Finance England and meet the household income threshold. Eligible students are automatically assessed each academic year.
Benefits
Value: £1,700 per year if your household income is less than £20,000,
or £1,000 per year if your household income is between £20,000 and £35,000

The Queen Mary Bursary helps fully enrolled undergraduate students who are in most need of financial support. This bursary is intended to help with the any costs of studying, including travel.
- If you are applying for student support for the first time, you also need to ensure that your regional student funding authority has verified your information, finalised your financial assessment and confirmed this to you and the Student Loans Company before we can assess you for a bursary.
- If your student finance assessment is still provisional, please contact Student Finance to enquire why.
- To receive a Queen Mary Bursary you must have applied to your regional student funding authority for income-assessed UK government financial support for higher education students.

You do not need to take out a loan in order to be income assessed, when completing the application for funding please enter ‘£0’ if you do not wish to take out a loan.
