At Hull we don't just teach the theory. We go beyond the classroom, in simulated operating theatres, hospital wards and intensive care facilities, as well as on clinical placements.

With our Adult Nursing (Hons) course at University of Hull , you’ll learn to provide care to adults – of different ages and with a range of health needs – and gain an extra dimension to your nursing experience.

You'll gain the skills, experience and support to become a confident and compassionate professional health practitioner and you'll be able to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a qualified registered nurse when you graduate.

Plus, students studying this course will also receive a payment of at least £5,000 a year. This doesn't need to be paid back and is in addition to any financial support received through your student loan.

Future prospects

By the end of your course, you’ll be ready to undertake the responsibilities of a health practitioner and eligible to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

Most of our graduates go on to work in the NHS – but others find positions overseas, in private practice, in the social services, the pharmaceutical industry, the Armed Forces, the prison service or in specialist areas such as drug rehabilitation.
