Description
The University of Hull has welcomed students from across Sub-Saharan Africa for over 70 years. The University of Hull Africa Studentship is here to support students from across Africa to join our diverse campus to study at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Benefits
This award is given as a £2,000 tuition fee discount against the cost of a full-time, undergraduate or postgraduate taught programme for each year of study. Applicants must study at the University of Hull’s main campus enrolling on programmes in January 2025, May 2025 and September 2025.
Eligibility
This award is available to students with an international fee status who are nationals of the following countries:
- Angola; Benin; Burkina Faso; Burundi; Cabo Verde; Cameroon; Central African Republic; Chad; Comoros; Congo, Dem. Rep.; Congo, Rep.; Côte d'Ivoire; Djibouti; Eritrea; Eswatini; Ethiopia; Gambia, The; Ghana; Guinea; Guinea-Bissau; Kenya; Lesotho; Liberia; Madagascar; Malawi; Mali; Mauritania; Mozambique; Niger; Nigeria; Rwanda; São Tomé and Principe; Senegal; Sierra Leone; Somalia; South Sudan; Sudan; Tanzania; Togo; Uganda; Zambia; Zimbabwe.
- These countries have been selected as they have been identified as low or lower middle income countries by the World Bank. The University of Hull is committed to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and supports the access of affordable education for many.
- Please note, Postgraduate applicants can only hold one financial award from the University of Hull.
