Your learning

You will be exposed to a wide range of learning opportunities, including lectures, seminars, tutorials, interactive groups and multimedia projects. Core modules at University College London (UCL) will be taken alongside your fellow BASc students. Modules relating to your pathway subjects will be taught by specialist staff from across UCL and will provide you with an opportunity to learn alongside students on other programmes.

Assessment

Both your pathway subjects and the language component will be assessed by written examinations and essays. Project work and a dissertation will contribute to your overall assessment. You will be required to give presentations, work on group projects and multimedia projects and participate in assessed debates.

Careers

On graduation, you will have at least two academic specialisms, strong leadership and communication skills and the ability to work flexibly and creatively across a range of fields.

The Arts and Sciences programmes are designed to prepare students for a wide variety of contemporary careers and research.

The Arts and Sciences course offered at the University College London graduates have become employed in investment banking (American Express, Goldman Sachs), the civil service (Treasury), law (Norton Rose), actuarial work (Towers Watson) and gone on to further Master's and PhD study in subjects including environmental techonology, global politics, law, management science, modern culture (literature), paelaeobiology and sociology.
