- Demonstrate proficiency in applying the three skill categories of project management, including a diverse understanding of ways of working, power skills, and business acumen.
- Explain and apply project management principles and project management performance domains.
- Demonstrate proficiency in project management knowledge areas and project management processes.
- Identify stakeholder expectations, determine business needs, and initiate a project.
- Develop comprehensive project management plans containing various subsidiary plans and project documents.
- Demonstrate high capabilities in working in teams, managing resources, motivating team members, negotiating, and interacting with stakeholders.
- Initiate, plan, execute, monitor, control, and close projects successfully.
- Demonstrate professional responsibility and adherence to ethics.

General requirements
- High school transcript: UAA requires an official final transcript sent directly from your school. If you haven't graduated yet, an initial admission decision is made with the information you provided in your application. Anchorage School District graduates can order transcripts online with the Anchorage School District request for transcripts form.
- GED transcript: UAA requires an official GED score report issued from the state which awarded the GED. Students who earned their GED in Alaska can request an official GED transcript using the State of Alaska GED Transcript Request form.
- College credits: UAA requires official final transcripts from every institutionally accredited institution you attended, including attendance during high school. If you are currently taking a college course, an in-progress transcript can be submitted for admission; the final transcript is required after grades are posted.
