Overview

The Building Surveying (with Foundation Year) programme from The University of Lancashire will prepare you to study at university. You'll develop the key academic skills you need for a degree.

You'll study construction design. This will teach you how to design and present building concepts. You'll use both drawing and computer aided design.

You'll continue to develop your mathematics and engineering skills. This will help you carry out tests and analysis in building surveying.

What you'll do

Gain construction drawing skills and use computer aided design tools.

Develop your maths and engineering skills to support your degree.

Once you've progressed onto your degree, you can complete a 48 week industry placement.

Future Careers

You’ll graduate with a specialist skill set that will enable you to carry out a range of duties within the construction industry, from site-based quantity surveying to estimating, and management roles.

Academic and practical experience, paired with close involvement with employers, means our graduates are highly-regarded in the workplace.

Graduates progress to high-level positions, including private practice partner or senior manager in an organisation with a large property portfolio.
