Description

They offer a range of support and services to help all apprentices, but you may need a little extra assistance if you have been in Local Authority care and don’t have support from your parents. They understand that at different stages of your university life you may need different types of support and advice, depending on your own individual needs, and would tailor the support to suit you.

Benefits

The scholarship offers £3,000 total – paid in instalments during Year 1.

Eligibility

  • Under 25 and a care leaver. A care leaver is defined as someone who was in care for at least 13 weeks and in care on their 16th birthday.
  • Studying on a degree apprenticeship course in year one and have not received this funding in previous years of study.

Once you have enrolled onto your course you may access the online application form on the Student Hub.

The application deadline is nine months after the start of the academic year in which you apply. For example if your course starts in September, you would need to apply before the end of May of that academic year.
