This program is a good addition to the exceptional student education B.A. and will allow students to acquire a solid theoretical and initial practical knowledge base on the nature of ASD, as well as an understanding of behavioral assessments, diagnostics, management, and the use of instructional techniques to address augmenting socio-emotional interactions and communication systems.

General requirements

Students must enter the program with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 on 4.0 scale or above from previously attended institutions. Students applying with a GPA lower than 2.5 will be granted provisional acceptance into the degree program, contingent upon the completion of a provisional period in the program with a GPA of 2.5 or above. Under these circumstances, students will meet on a monthly basis with their academic advisor to assess their academic progress.
Students may transfer a maximum of 60 credits from a two-year accredited program, or a maximum of 90 credits from a four-year accredited program towards this bachelor’s degree. Students who are transferring must have a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Only courses in which the student has obtained a grade of “C” or above will be transferred.
