The human resources management concentration covers key elements in human resource management including recruitment, training, compensation and benefits. You’ll learn strategies for promoting productivity, enhancing workforce efficiency and resolving issues.

In addition, students who complete this concentration will be prepared to:

Plan, direct and supervise work activities related to employment, compensation, labor relations and employee relations.
Identify causes of personnel issues and provide recommendations to improve an organization’s personnel policies and practices.
Work with vendors to provide services for employees such as food service, transportation or relocation assistance.
Advise managers on policies like equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment.
Provide information to supervisors, co-workers and subordinates.
Develop and maintain constructive working relationships with others.
Recommend changes to organizational processes or policies and manage human resources activities.
