The Mathematics Department from North Central College faculty members are committed to involving you in their research projects, so you’ll also get valuable firsthand experiences. Our pure mathematics major is renowned for preparing high school and middle school math teachers and for maintaining an extensive network of school contacts.

Others with their mathematics degree go on to work in various fields in industry and technology, or to graduate school to prepare for a career in higher education, teaching, and research. North Central College mathematics faculty have wide-ranging interests and make math majors available in pure mathematics, applied mathematics, and actuarial sciences. We're committed to making sure that all math major students in each of our classes are successful in learning mathematics they need to know for their chosen careers.

At North Central, we offer a variety of competitive merit-based scholarships that are awarded based off G.P.A. Scholarships range from $28,000- $34,000 and are renewable for 4 years. Your achievements and special talents in other academic and activity areas, like education and the fine arts, could result in additional scholarship opportunities as well.
