Overview

Upon completion of the Advanced Financial Services undergraduate certificate from Indiana Tech, students will be prepared to:

Demonstrate a well-rounded understanding of the field of financial services and financial markets.
Develop and deliver information with meaningful context, appropriate delivery and interpersonal skills, and a customer service focus.
Link data, knowledge, and insight together to provide quality advice for financial decision making.
Anticipate and meet the changing needs of clients, employers, customers, and markets better than competitors.
Interpret and provide a broader, effective context for financial, non-financial and market information.
Understand the U.S. market and how it operates.
Utilize and leverage technology to add value for clients, customers, and employers. Students will be able to use information technology as a tool to do essential business tasks and communicate more effectively within their organization and with their clients.

Understand and apply legal and ethical principles in business, and utilize them in individual and organizational decision making.

The Advanced Financial Services certificate focuses on topics like asset allocation, investments, investment management, and financial valuation, with an emphasis on economics and financial regulation throughout.
