General requirements
- Academic readiness can be demonstrated by completing a placement exam in music theory.
- Audition for the music faculty. Two pieces in contrasting styles must be performed in the student's applied area.
- All students are required to submit three letters of reference from former music teachers, from music directors, or from other musicians who can verify the student's readiness to study music at the collegiate level.
- Minimum GPA of a 2.6 on a 4.0 scale
- Applicants must agree to abide by the university’s community guidelines and behavioral expectations
- In addition to a completed application, applicants are required to submit an official transcript(s).
