State University of New York at Geneseo is the only school in the country offering a BPS curriculum in Musical Theatre. Created for the motivated, determined performer, the program combines rigorous musical theatre training, performance opportunities, and professional preparation into an integrated educational experience. The BPS prioritizes comprehensive training in all things music, theatre, and dance so students can achieve a high level of performance as an actor-singer in today’s ever-evolving musical theatre industry.

Complete the Common Application or SUNY Application.
For a first-time university student, we require up-to-date official transcripts from all secondary schools (high schools) you have attended with English translations.
The International Admission Committee requires that all students must demonstrate proficiency in English. Official results from the following English proficiency exams are accepted: TOEFL, IELTS, PTE, iTEP, MET, Duolingo English Test, Cambridge.
At least one letter of recommendation, preferably from a teacher, is recommended.
Personal Statement. Tell us a little about yourself! The personal statement should be about one page long, detailing your interest in SUNY Geneseo and your major of choice.
