This science-oriented program will help you better understand the quality of our environment and how changes made for the good of one species affect other organisms in the ecosystem, and vice-versa.

You will be strongly encouraged to pursue relevant work experience through a supervised field study with an approved agency or firm.

This curriculum is a science-oriented curriculum designed to provide a broad understanding of environmental quality. Students will develop a solid foundation in basic sciences, mathematics and communications skills. This foundation will then be applied in courses dealing with ecology and natural resources.

Graduates of this program will find employment opportunities as technical, scientific, or support personnel with local, state, or federal agencies, or with private industry.

Examples include positions with municipal waste treatment facilities; state and federal regulatory agencies; consulting firms involved in environmental remediation and development of impact statements; various manufacturers; environmental and conservation support organizations; and other public and private employers in the environmental field.

The curriculum will also prepare the student for graduate study in areas related to the environment and natural resources, including environmental law.

Students with state-accredited highschool:

3.0 cumulative high school GPA and 19 ACT/900 SAT or 2.7 cumulative high school GPA and 21 ACT/980 SAT

Students without state-accredited highschool:

· 21 ACT or 980 SAT and a cumulative high school grade point average of 2.85 or above on a 4.0 scale

For international students:

· A completed online application.

· $130 application fee, payable at the end of the online application before submitting.

· A bank letter or other papers of financial support

· An official high school transcript and certificate of graduation translated into English.
