A major in Business Administration provides Bemidji State University students with the concepts and practices in business to prepare students for the business side of any industry.

Entrepreneurship Emphasis

The entrepreneurship emphasis will allow students to take their big ideas and plans into a workable business model. Students will learn about scaling a business and how to turn a startup into an ever-growing business.

Finance Emphasis

An emphasis in finance places students at the center of decision making within an organization. Students are exposed to decisions related to capital budgeting, working capital management, stocks, bonds, investments, insurance, financial statements and more.

Human Resources Emphasis

Human resource management is a critical component of any successful business operation, and as such, it is a key emphasis area within the business administration degree.

Indigenous Business Emphasis

An Indigenous business emphasis within the business administration degree program focuses on the unique challenges and opportunities faced by Indigenous entrepreneurs and business owners.

Management Emphasis

Our management program provides comprehensive knowledge and hands-on opportunities to work as part of a team, present your case studies and pursue domestic and international internships.

Marketing Emphasis

Marketing students will learn the importance of brand awareness, public relations and business communications. This program offers students opportunities to see the value of technology and social media presence in business and its effectiveness on businesses.

Professional Selling Emphasis

Our Professional Selling emphasis will give you the opportunity to learn the in’s and out’s of the selling process and provide real life opportunities to fine tune your selling skills.
