The Engineering Technology Track is intended for students who plan to work in applied engineering and technology fields. This degree emphasizes the practical over the theoretical and focuses on hands-on, real world technology solutions. In KU’s on-campus applied physics, engineering, and prototyping laboratories, you’ll apply technical skills from your classes to solve practical problems and to create your own projects. You’ll work one-on-one with KU Physics and Engineering faculty, not teaching assistants, on original design and research projects. Your hands-on guided learning can prepare you for careers that span broadly across industry sectors. With your degree you will be prepared to apply mathematical and scientific principles inherent to engineering to the management and design of systems, execution of new product designs, improvement of manufacturing processes, and the management and direction of the physical or technical functions of an organization.
