In the Communication Studies (Online) BA program offered Eastern Kentucky University, students learn how to successfully demonstrate and promote effective human communication, including relationship building and maintenance, resolving conflict, persuading and negotiating, professional speaking, communication training and development, and leadership skills.

One major: many opportunities! A degree in Communication Studies can be tailored to students’ individual career goals. For example, graduates have successfully entered careers in corporate instructional training, consulting, management, sales, nonprofit agencies, health care organizations, human services agencies, and alternative dispute resolution. Moreover, many of our graduates have gone on to achieve graduate degrees in communication, law, politics, education, counseling, and the seminary. Expect hands-on advising as Communication Studies professors work one-on-one with students helping them prepare for the workforce or graduate studies.

Submit an online application for the term (Fall, Spring or Summer) you would like to begin.

Pay the required $35.00 USD application processing fee.

Submit a copy of your passport information page proving a valid passport.

Submit complete secondary school records reflecting a cumulative grade of 75% (2.5 GPA equivalent) or higher.

Submit an official copy of High School Diploma or Graduation Certificate.

Provide a declaration of finances showing an account balance of no less than $34,745 USD in the form of a bank statement with a letter of authorization from the account holder.
