No matter what field students enter after graduation, studying human resource management prepares students for a wide range of jobs and positions. Effective leadership of human resources requires an understanding of the strategy, law, and procedures, as well as an understanding of appropriate reactions to individual values, personality, experiences, perceptions, emotions, and attitudes. It also requires an understanding of the potential dilemmas likely to arise during policy formation and implementation and during times of organizational change.

Studying the Business Administration - Human Resource Management at Gonzaga University helps students focus on the development of the managerial skills necessary to improve employee retention and increase employee performance. At GU, we provide experiential, reflection, and network opportunities through our relationship with our HRM Concentration Advisory Board and by supporting the GU Student Chapter of SHRM (the Society for Human Resource Management)
