Students exit the English Education (Certification as Secondary School Teacher) program at Winthrop University as excellent writers and readers with diverse skills, rather than as specialists in only one area. This focus on gaining multiple skills opens up more job possibilities for graduates. Undergraduate applicants (beginning freshmen and transfers) must submit official transcripts, mark sheets and examination certificates in their native language for all secondary and/or postsecondary coursework, along with certified, literal (exact) English translations for documents not originally issued in English.
