Overview

Fine Arts is an intimate program whereby students are known by name, receive individualized instruction and have the ability to have hands-on experiences throughout their matriculation at FAMU. Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University graduates have excelled in various areas in visual arts and attended the most prestigious graduate schools in the country.

Students in the BA degree program are required to study a foreign language (12 hours), giving them an advantage in the arts industry.

Degree requirements

No formal application is needed to enter the Visual Arts program. Simply apply to FAMU and be sure to indicate Visual Arts for your major or minor. Still, they would like to hear from you personally. Please complete the "I’m Interested" form and submit it to the visual arts unit.
