The major in Mathematics at Baruch College is designed to enable the student to enter the marketplace (industrial or educational) or to pursue further studies in mathematics or allied fields at the graduate level.

  • The Mathematics student at Baruch College will be assigned an advisor who will work with the student to develop an appropriate course of study.

Programme Structure


  • The department offers three undergraduate majors; in Mathematics,  in Actuarial Science, and in Financial Mathematics (BSFM). 
  • On the graduate level we offer a Master of Science in Financial Engineering (MFE).
  • The major in mathematics can include a wide range of courses geared to your interests.
