Overview

With our  Accountancy (Flying Start) programme at  Queen Mary University of London you will: 

• Fast-track your career in accounting and start on the path to becoming an ICAEW Chartered Accountant.
• This programme is a collaboration between Queen Mary University of London, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and 'Big Four' accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).
• A series of paid work placements is built into the course, meaning you will have the opportunity to apply the technical theory you learn in the classroom directly to the workplace.
• Learn accounting skills from academic specialists who are experts in their field.

• Work on real projects for real clients as part of PwC's assurance team, and receive technical training during your paid placements.

Career opportunities:

PwC has consistently been voted Best Graduate Employer in The Times Top 100 Graduate Employers survey. The vast majority of finalists on Flying Start programmes with PwC have received a job offer at the company after graduation, often becoming fully-qualified ICAEW Chartered Accountants just over a year after graduation.

Graduates of Flying Start programmes have also moved into non-accounting roles at PwC.

There is no obligation (on the part of the student or PwC) to progress to a role at PwC following completion of the course.

Career support:

PwC will provide each student with a career coach, who will guide the student through PwC’s annual performance management process. Prior to joining PwC for their first work placement, students will be allocated a named 'buddy' who will help induct them into the firm.
