Overview

Graduates of the Engineering Technology - Manufacturing Engineering Technology program will be able to apply a wide spectrum of technological and managerial tools and methods to tackle manufacturing-related problems in production of industrial and consumer goods.

A four-year curriculum at Texas State University-San Marcos includes courses in product design, materials, processes, tooling, manufacturing systems, quality assurance, automation and integration, and operations management. This curriculum is implemented by adopting the hands-on, experiential learning method.

The Manufacturing Engineering Technology program is designed to provide students with a firm technical foundation in conventional manufacturing technologies and, at the same time, prepare them to face the challenges of today’s globalized, environmentally conscious, and interdisciplinary business environments.

You must apply for admission online using through ApplyTexas or Coalition for College (we will not accept mail-in forms).
The Office of Undergraduate Admissions charges a nonrefundable application fee of $90.
You must submit full transcripts (records of ALL courses taken and marks earned for each semester of both secondary school and college), as well as graduation or school-leaving exam results.
Have the testing service send your scores directly to Texas State University. English proficiency tests will need to be mailed by the testing service.
