Overview
This Education Studies (Hons) course at University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) enables you to take your interest in education and learning to degree level and study educational systems from early years to lifelong learning.
There is a strong focus on issues relating to inclusion and the needs of a diverse range of learners. You’ll look at the impact of ethnicity, poverty and deprivation, gender, disability and learning difficulties, sexuality, mental health, and those who have experienced abuse or bullying.
Opportunities
Many of the graduates of this program go on to become teachers. They often go on to gain places on primary PGCE courses (teacher training) or, increasingly, undertake schools-based training.
