Overview
The Business - Accounting programme at Saint Louis University provides students with a rigorous foundation in the technical and professional skills required for modern financial decision-making. As the primary language of business, this curriculum ensures that graduates are prepared to interpret complex data and contribute to strategic problem-solving within diverse organisations. The course is hosted by the Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business, which is known for its hands-on, career-focused approach to education.
Students in this programme benefit from a curriculum that integrates the application of artificial intelligence and advanced analytical techniques into traditional accounting practices. This forward-thinking approach ensures that learners are equipped for the evolving role of the accountant in the global economy.
Why Business - Accounting at Saint Louis University?
The Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business holds prestigious accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), a distinction shared by only five per cent of business schools globally. Furthermore, the accounting programme itself carries separate AACSB accreditation, placing it among fewer than 200 elite schools worldwide. Students have access to the Co-op3 initiative, a unique cooperative education model that allows for six months of full-time work experience while earning academic credit and income.
Located in the heart of a major metropolitan hub, the university offers unparalleled access to nine Fortune 500 companies and a thriving start-up scene. This location facilitates high-quality internships with "Big 4" public accounting firms, financial institutions, and government agencies. Additionally, the campus hosts a chapter of Beta Alpha Psi, providing students with vital networking links to financial information professionals and industry leaders.
