- The curriculum for this Culinary Skills programme from Humber Polytechnic is similar to the first year of the Culinary Management programme. This allows students to transition into the Culinary Management programme after the first semester or at the end of the second semester with bridging courses. Alternatively, students are able to move into the Cook Apprenticeship programme, provided they have an eligible employer.

- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent including these required courses:
- Grade 12 English (ENG4C or ENG4U or equivalent)
