Overview
This Fisheries, Wildlife, Conservation, and Environmental Biology B.A./B.S program from Kansas State University provides valuable experience conducting field experiments, field observations, sampling methods, and data analysis. In addition to our course offerings, there are extracurricular activities that will help you develop valuable skills and provide research experience. This major prepares students for careers in research, conservation, and management of natural resources.
Career opportunities:
State and federal government agencies, non-profit conservation organizations and ecological consulting firms all employ FWCB students that have graduated from our program. Many students are accepted into graduate programs prior to entering their professional careers and some student pursue a career in academia. Most employers of our students are stewards of the natural resources and focus on both species exploited by humans for recreation and consumption as well as the conservation of threatened species.
