Overview

You might conduct marketing research for real-world clients such as Welch Packaging in Elkhart, IN., or you might develop an advertising plan for Fort Wayne’s professional basketball team, the Mad Ants. These projects will prepare you to become a marketing coordinator, an assistant product manager, or a marketing specialist, to name a few.

Program Highlights

  • Recent marketing graduates are working for companies such as Winnebago Industries, Fort Wayne Newspapers, Beeman Marketing, and Welch Packaging.
  • In the capstone course Case Studies in Business, required of all majors in the College, students organize and operate a business for a semester and then donate their earnings to a nonprofit of their choosing. Manchester business students have donated more than $102,200 and over 8,900 hours of service to various nonprofit organizations.

The Marketing major builds upon the Manchester University liberal arts program, combining traditional academic course work with experiential learning to prepare students for professional careers in for-profit businesses and nonprofit organizations. Students will have the opportunity to explore accounting, business management, entrepreneurship, finance, marketing, professional sales and sport management. Internships may be arranged across the curriculum.
