At the Inclusive Adolescent Education program from Vermont State University you’ll study and learn within our close-knit community of passionate educators. You’ll also have the flexibility to specialize in what interests you most as you prepare to obtain your teaching license. And if you’re looking to advance your current career in education, Castleton also offers four leading-edge master’s degrees in education.

Experience in Special Education: After earning this degree, students may return to take just six more credits to receive their recommendation for a Special Education endorsement. Special educators are in high demand in Vermont.
Expanded career options: In combination with a content major, your double-major will expand your opportunities in both your field of study and as an educator. If you choose to accept a classroom teaching position, the special education expertise will prepare you to support the learning of all students in your classroom. If you choose to accept a position as a special educator, your expertise in curriculum and instruction will prepare you to work more collaboratively with classroom teachers.

Evaluated, translated transcripts. Transcripts must be official, officially submitted directly from all institutions attended. Official diploma and transcript of your complete high school studies is required. If you have at least one year of full-time college studies (all post-secondary studies), your high school transcript is not required. All academic transcripts must be signed by the appropriate school or government official and must include the seal of the school or the government. Photocopies or other copies must be certified true. If the documents are written in a language other than English, complete and certified true English translations must be furnished together with the official documents in that language.
