Overview
The Public Health (Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety Concentration) at California State University Fullerton provides graduates with an understanding of a wide range of health-related topics including: core functions and disciplines of public health, diseases and their causes, distributions of diseases, risk factors and prevention, behaviour-change theory and application, health promotion programme design, and research and evaluation.
The bachelor’s degree offers five concentrations:

Career Paths
Graduates are prepared for careers or professional studies related to public health, health care, and health promotion in various public and private, clinical and non-clinical settings. With academic advising, the programme may also be used to prepare students for national exam to become a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), registered environmental health specialist (REHS) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP).

General requirements
First-year students must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Be a high school graduate or equivalent.
- Complete the 15-unit comprehensive “A-G” pattern with a grade of C- or better by high school graduation.
- "A-G" requirement may not be completed during the summer term prior to fall enrollment.
- Earn a competitive Multi Factor Admission Score (MFAS) as described below. Minimum MFAS will fluctuate each term based on the strength of the applicant pool.
- Prepare application materials such as transcripts, test scores (AP/IB), current and planned courses, annual household income, citizenship status and social security number (if available).
