Programme Structure

  • A minimum of 30 semester credit hours of a combination of college-level mathematics and basic sciences with experimental experience,
  • A minimum of 45 semester credit hours of engineering topics consisting of engineering sciences and engineering design and utilizing modern engineering tools §
  • A broad education component that complements the technical content of the curriculum, and

English Language Requirements

You need the following IELTS score:

  • Minimum required score:

    7.5

    The IELTS – or the International English Language Test System – tests your English-language abilities (writing, listening, speaking, and reading) on a scale of 1.00–9.00. The minimum IELTS score requirement refers to which Overall Band Score you received, which is your combined average score. Read more about IELTS.

General Requirements

  • International student applicants are required to submit a $65 application fee.
  • Certified transcripts are required from each secondary school, college or university attended. A record of at least four years of schooling is needed in order to evaluate the application. 
  • All international students whose first language is not English are required to submit either a TOEFL or an IELTS score. The official score reports should be sent directly to Wake Forest from the testing institutions.
  • Wake Forest does not require applicants to submit an SAT or ACT score in the admissions application. If submitting scores, score reports must be sent directly from the testing organizations.
