Overview

When you pursue the Biomedical Engineering program of Indiana Institute of Technology, you will use cutting-edge technologies and learn modern engineering techniques related to current health care and medicine issues. After your completion, you will be prepared to work at companies that design and manufacture medical devices for the human body.

Why choose Indiana Tech?

You will be immersed in anatomy and physiology, including human cadaveric specimen labs and computer-aided design (CAD), starting in your freshman year.

During your sophomore and junior years, you will learn how to develop medical devices. A prototype of your design will be produced, using 3D printers, and will undergo lab testing.

You will research, design and develop a medical device that adheres to FDA regulations or conduct research for your final capstone project.

Our program is accrediated by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), recognized as the U.S. accreditor of college and university programs in applied and natural science, computing, engineering and engineering technology.
