Vermont State University is the first college to offer an Aviation degree in the state of Vermont, and we hold our own on a national level too. Professional Pilot Technology program will have you in the air during your first semester and offers the option to complete all 9 FAA certificates and ratings, including the Seaplane Rating. Gain valuable experience completing internships or paid employment for an airline or airport in the unique Vermont and New England flying terrain. You will be flying with career pilots that maintain their long-term industry connections, increasing your chances for employment opportunities.

Still up in the air? Consider that the students in the Professional Pilot program can become Certified Flight Instructors by their junior year and graduate with typically 250 or more flight hours already under their belts. That flight time makes graduates highly valued in the industry.

$45 application fee
Official secondary school (high school) transcript that is in English or translated by a credentials evaluation service
Official college/university transcript (if applicable), reviewed by a foreign credentials evaluation service. Here is a list of evaluation service providers if you need it.
Official financial statement indicating your ability to pay one full year of tuition, room, and board. Financial documents must be on official bank letterhead and must be provided before an I-20 can be issued. A government scholarship letter will also be accepted.
A copy of your passport information page with your complete name, date of birth, country of birth and country of citizenship via email
