Academic Requirements

You need the following GPA score:

Required score: 2.25

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 2.25 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

General Requirements

    • Complete an application: Completing an application is free for all international applicants. 
      • ACT or SAT Scores: All students must submit official copies of their scores on either the ACT or SAT in order to be approved for admission to Dordt College. 
      • Transcripts of high school or university coursework: Dordt College requires the submission of official English transcripts of all high school (grades 9-12) and prior university coursework. 
      • Statement of faith and essay
      • International students may also be interviewed or asked to submit a brief (350 to 500) word essay about their faith background and why they are interested in studying within the Christian setting at Dordt College.
      • A minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.25 on a 4.0 scale is required of all students for admission.
