Students in the Economics program may choose to major in Economics with one of the following areas of emphasis: Managerial Economics or International Economics or they may choose to dual major in Economics and Mathematics.

Overview

For the two tracks in the Economics major the goal of the program is to enhance one’s ability and competence in relating business and economic concepts, functions, and policies to each other at increasingly abstract levels in order to solve problems and analyze policies.

Students will become proficient at:

  • Enhancing students’ understanding of marginal concepts.
  • Enhancing students’ understanding of the interrelationships of implicit and explicit elements of economics and business.
  • Enhance students’ ability to analyze and solve problems.

General requirements

  • Submit a signed copy of the application agreement statement.
  • Official copies of academic records from all secondary schools, colleges, or universities previously attended. 
  • English language proficiency must be demonstrated for any student whose native language is not English. 
  • For residents of countries with regulated income taxes, please provide documentation of yearly taxable income.
  • Obtain and submit a current certified bank statement, on bank letterhead, showing your family's ability to pay full tuition for one year.
  • One letter of recommendation, preferably from a counselor or teacher.
  • Download and complete the Medical History form.
  • Provide a list of your immunization history.
